I’m Julia Rosenbaum Vukicevic, MS, RD, CDN, CEDS-C, a Registered Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, Nutrition Therapist, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor with a passion for helping people to rediscover self-trust, pleasure, and peace with food and their bodies.

I'm a native New Yorker and graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned my BFA in Theatre. My acting training taught me the importance of listening carefully and paying attention to nonverbal cues, all of which are incredibly useful aspects of my counseling skills. Later, I obtained my Master’s in Nutrition Education at Columbia University Teachers College (I did say I’m a New Yorker).

I have honed my skills in eating disorder treatment at all levels of care. I previously worked as the Director of East Coast Nutrition Services at Monte Nido & Affiliates, overseeing nutrition and supervising dietitians at the East Coast locations of Monte Nido, Clementine, and Oliver-Pyatt Centers. Prior to that role, I was the Lead Dietitian at Monte Nido Manhattan, working with both the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. I provided individual nutrition counseling sessions, led nutrition groups and processing groups, ate countless meals and snacks with clients, and helped guide them through their own individual stages of recovery.

In my private practice, I provide non-diet nutrition therapy using weight-inclusive principles for individuals struggling with disordered eating. I also collaborate closely with other treatment providers. My designation as an iaedp™ Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Approved Consultant represents my experience in the field of eating disorder treatment. I am committed to supporting my clients in the best way possible, and in addition to doing regular continuing education, I have engaged in further trainings to enhance my skills and knowledge, including:

• Intuitive Eating training to become a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor

• Phase I (of III) of the Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders training, and additional consultation

Additional Information

I am an active member of iaedp™ (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and serve on the Chapter Leadership of the iaedp New York Chapter as the chapter Secretary. I also belong to the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
